One day left until we strap a sign on our bumper that says, "California or Bust"! That's right... we're headed out west on our 3 week adventure. Even if we did absolutely nothing on our trip, I'd say 4500+ miles with 6 kids (age 10 and under) will give us all the adventure we need! The kids are sooooo excited. They've been counting down for 2 weeks now, and are just about bouncing off the walls!
We bought a pop-up camper last week and we've stuffed it full of the "maybe we'll need..." and "we might need..." 's of camping. We shall see how we did. Good thing Walmart's never too far out of sight. Not only is it tough packing for 8, but we are packing for the heat of the southwestern states AND the snowy weather of the Rocky Mountains...
*duffel bags for everyone (camping clothes)...... check.
*a suitcase of Easter outfits (shoes, ties, dresses, the whole bit)......check.
*a large tub full of snow clothes (hats, gloves, boots, pants... yep, those puffy things require their own 20 gallon tub)........check.
*a laundry basket of swimsuits and beach towels.......check.
*another suitcase of "good" clothes (to be worn when we go out for dinner, to the zoo, ect.).....check.
*an overnight bag of jammies for everyone for our first overnight at the lakehouse (who cares if we wear the same clothes the next day, at least we can sleep normal!)......check!
... and that's just the clothes! It's gonna be tight... We'll have to see if we have room for the kids...
